Before coming to Johnson & Wales University Geraldine Wagner taught at Brown University, Dean College, and The College of the Holy Cross. She is co-director of the Johnson & Wales Community Theatre Players, Vice President elect of the Rhode Island Council of Teachers of English, a staff writer for the JWU Arts & Sciences Newsletter, and co-chair of the Annual JWU Poetry Slam.

Wagner has published several critical essays in the journals Comparative Literature and Culture, Early Modern Literary Studies and English Studies. In addition to critical analysis Wagner has also published poetry and short prose in The Leaflet, The Nor’ aster, The Maze, and The Rhode Island Teacher as Writer, which she has edited for the past two years.

Wagner’s first screenplay, Marital Arts, has been optioned by Grumpy Productions; she is currently collaborating on a second script, Explosive Chemistry.
