Linda Pettine has been at Johnson & Wales University since 2000, where she teaches Beverage/Mixology and Senior Dining Room Supervision. She was recognized for her teaching skills with the Beverage & Dining Services Department Service Award in 2001,  the 2012 Outstanding Service Award, 2007 Robert M. Nograd Teacher of the Year Award, and the 2001 and 2008 Beverage & Dining Services Service Awards

Prior to coming to JWU, Pettine worked as bar manager at Ladonna Restaurant in Mansfield, Mass., where she developed the wine list and conducted tastings and seminars. She also supervised all front-of-the-house staff. Prior to that, she was the dining room manager at Carla’s Restaurant in Norwood, Mass., and a sales associate at Branded Liquors in Westwood, Mass.

Pettine is a member of the Society of Wine Educations, a certified T.I.P.S trainer, and received Advanced Certification with Merit from the Wine & Spirits Education Trust, a Certified Hospitality Educator (C.H.E.) by the American Hotel & Lodging Education Institute, and a Certified Cognac Educator (C.C.E.) with distinction by the Bureau National Interprofessionnel du Cognac (BNIC).
