Robert Weil has been at Johnson & Wales University since 2000 and in 2004 he received the College’s Vollrath Award in recognition of his hard work and dedication. He is also the recipient of the 2005 Beverage & Dining Services Service Award.

Outside of the classroom, Weill serves as advisor to the Bacchus Club and on several committees including Curriculum Development, Student Awards, and the Faculty In-Service. A Certified Bar Manager through the International Food Service Executives Association (IFSEA)’s Beverage Management Institute he is a member of the Federation of Dining Room Professionals and the Society of Wine Educators. He is also a certified ServSafe Alcohol Instructor by the National Restaurant Association Foundation, and achieved the Level 3 Advanced Certification with Merit in Wine and Spirits from the Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET).

An expert in mixology, dining room service, and front of the house operations, prior to joining the staff at JWU, Weill worked as the food and beverage manager for the Quidnesett Country Club, where he received the Presidential Award.
