Shane Pearson has worked for JWU since 1998. Pearson began his teaching career at the Charleston campus, where he received his bachelor’s degree in Food Service Management and his associate degree in Culinary Arts. In 2006 Pearson received his master’s degree from Southern Wesleyan University. He has held a variety of positions in the food service industry including executive chef at Sun Fire Grill & Bistro in Charleston, food & beverage director at Carolina Ice Palace in Charleston, consultant to both InterTech Corporation and Mitchell’s on the Market in Charleston and owner and operator of Southern Temptations, a catering business. In Charlotte, Pearson has appeared as a Main Stage chef during Charlotte Shout, the city’s premier food event. In addition, Pearson and his wife Lori own and operate Tomrons Catering and Consulting.
