After spending more than 20 years in education administration, teaching, and counseling mentally and emotionally disabled clientele, Cheryl Almeida came to Johnson & Wales University. Following five years as Director of JWU’s Worcester Campus, she joined the faculty at the Providence Campus where she teaches both Psychology and Counseling courses. She is also coordinator of the Bachelor of Science degree program in the Counseling Psychology major.Almeida’s current research focuses on program development, as well as collaborative learning. She is an active member of the American Counseling Association and presents often at workshops and conferences.
