Born and educated in Germany, Chef Wenninger worked in Germany and Switzerland before accepting an offer from Tavern on the Green in New York City. He subsequently worked at the Caribe Hilton in San Juan, P.R., the San Francisco Hilton, the Fontainebleau Hilton, the former Doral by the Ocean Resort on Miami Beach and the Bonaventure Resort & Spa in Ft. Lauderdale. Wenninger also spent many years managing the Polo Club of Boca Raton and Boca Pointe Country Club, in Boca Raton, Florida. Before joining the faculty of Johnson & Wales in 2002, Wenninger was Executive Chef at the Weston Hills Country Club in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. His expertise is on "Classical French Cuisine," Traditional European Cuisine," "Culinary Fundamentals" and "Stocks and Sauces."
