Patricia Wilson relocated to Miami from San Juan, Puerto Rico, where she was chef/owner of the award-winning Bistro Gambaro. While living in Puerto Rico, she hosted a popular talk radio program, wrote a weekly food column for the San Juan Star, and appeared on countless television programs.Wilson brings to her classes a vast knowledge and passion for not only international cuisines and cultures, but contemporary global cuisines as well. Her food focuses on tropical culinary cultures and their impact on the Caribbean and the world. She has traveled on culinary excursions throughout the Caribbean, Central America, Mexico, Africa, Europe, the Mediterranean, Asia and Canada. Wilson is committed to the culinary and art communities and makes it her business to stay current with restaurants and chefs, both nationally and internationally. She is also the Secretary of the Executive Board of the Bakehouse Art Complex, Vice President of the South Florida chapter of Les Dames D’Esoffier, and an active member of Women Chefs and Restaurateurs.
