Michael Calenda started in the food service industry in 1978. He received his associate degree from the Charleston Campus in 1988. Calenda held a variety of positions with Ritz-Carlton, Hilton Hotels and as executive chef with Sheraton Hotels and The PGA Tour. Calenda received his bachelor’s degree from the Miami Campus in 2004 and joined the faculty at the Charlotte Campus that same year. Calenda has been a certified executive chef with the American Culinary Federation since 2003.
