Chef Jennifer Gallagher joined the Johnson & Wales University faculty in 2005, where she teaches Soups, Stocks and Sauces. She was awarded the JWU College of Culinary Arts’ First-Year Teacher Award in 2006. Jennifer Gallagher holds an associate degree in Culinary Arts from the Culinary Institute of America, a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management from Widener University and a master’s degree in Hospitality Management from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Gallagher is a Certified Executive Chef through the American Culinary Federation, a Certified Hospitality Educator through the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute and a Certified Specialist of Wine through the Society of Wine Educators. Prior to assuming the position at JWU, she was an executive chef at The Mirage Restaurant and Conference Center in Avalon, N.J.Gallagher also holds a Level 3 Advanced Wine Certificate in wines and spirits from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust. In addition, she is a certified food management professional through the National Restaurant Association.
