Evan Nash relocated to Charlotte and joined JWU in June 2004. He attended County College of Morris and Kean University in New Jersey. Nash started his career with Hilton Hotels and was selected as one of just five individuals for the Hilton Personnel Development Program in Purchasing. He spent several years within the Hilton chain and worked in Purchasing Management for the Washington Hilton and Towers and Greenbelt Hilton in Maryland and opened the five- diamond Hilton at Short Hills in New Jersey. Nash has opened several hotels and casinos including Hamilton Park Executive Conference Center; The Fairmont Hotel Chicago; Empress Casino in Joliet Ill.; Hollywood Casino Aurora Ill. and Trump and Majestic Star Casinos in Ind. Most recently Nash worked at the Grand Casino in Tunica, Miss., as the regional food and beverage purchasing manager. Nash is the Charlotte chapter president of the Institute for Supply Management and holds a lifetime professional certification as a certified purchasing manager.
