Jerry Lanuzza ’91 earned his associate degree in Culinary Arts and his bachelor’s degree in Food Service Education from Johnson & Wales University. He earned his master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Old Dominion University in Virginia.

Before his career in education, Lanuzza was executive chef at Two Rivers Country Club at Governor’s Land in Williamsburg, Va. He also is a Certified Hospitality Educator through the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute, holds a Level 3 Advanced Wine Certificate in wines and spirits from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust, and is a Foodservice Management Professional through the National Restaurant Association.

Lanuzza served as the culinary collBefore moving to the Charlotte Campus when it opened in 2004 Jerry Lanuzza worked at the Norfolk Campus for 10 years, teaching and serving as culinary education department chair. He has taught a variety of courses, including Stocks, Sauces and Soups and Food Safety and Sanitation Management.

Prior to his return to the classroom, Lanuzza was the executive chef at Two Rivers Country Club at Governor’s Land in Williamsburg, Va. He also worked for private clubs and hotels in Ohio, South Carolina and Georgia. In addition to creating delicious dishes, he enjoys capturing them in pictures and is a published food photographer.

Lanuzza holds an associate degree in culinary arts and a bachelor’s degree in food service education, both from Johnson & Wales, as well as a master’s degree in educational leadership from Old Dominion University.
