Chef Stephen Scaife has been a member of the Johnson & Wales University faculty since 1987, where he teaches classes ranging from Meat Processing to New World Cuisine to Stocks, Sauces and Soups. He has received both the Outstanding Team Award and Outstanding Achievement Award, and he helped the JWU Team collect the Grand Salon Award at the 1999, 2000 and 2002 International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show.

Prior to joining the staff at JWU, Scaife operated a business supplying ready-made sauces to food stores in Southeastern Massachusetts. In addition, he has consulted with many local restaurants on how to improve their kitchen performance through production management, waste control and other areas of concern in the kitchen.

Scaife is a Certified Executive Chef, Certified Foodservice Executive and Certified Culinary Educator.
