A licensed nutritionist, Janet Rouslin joined the faculty at Johnson & Wales University in 1994, where she teaches classes in personalized nutrition management and medical nutrition therapy.
Rousslin received the College’s prestigious, peer-selected Robert M. Nograd Teacher of the Year Award in 2001, as well as the College’s Publishing Award in 2003 in recognition of Nutrition: A Culinary Approach (Kendall Hunt Publishing Company), which she co-authored with her colleagues Mary Ann Eaton and Patricia Blenkiron. She was the the recipient of the 2012 Vollrath and 2006 Foodservice Academics Service Awards.Before she came to JWU, Rouslin worked at the Scalabrini Healthcare Facility, where she was a dietitian and continues to consult for them. Prior to that, she worked at Alden Court Healthcare Facility and Rhode Island Medical Center. She also works as a clinical consultant dietitian at Roger Williams Medical Center and Butler Hospital. Rouslin is an active member of the American Dietetic Association and the Rhode Island Dietetic Association.
