An associate professor at JWU, Jennifer Galipeau teaches Special Event Protocol, Weddings & Ceremonies, Tradeshow/Exposition Management, Event Management and Entertainment Management. She has also participated in faculty internships in tradeshow/exposition management and conference management. In addition, through her consulting firm Etiquette and Events, she maintains links to industry and provides customized training on professional and personal etiquette as well as event planning services.Galipeau has assisted with the planning and management of several national conferences including the Little People of America (LPA) Annual Conference, the Lt. Governors Association Annual Conference and the Council on Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Education (CHRIE) Annual Conference. Her recent publications include co-authoring, with John Drysdale, of "Profitable Menu Planning" (Prentice-Hall Publishing).
Galipeau is a Certified Hospitality Educator (CHE) and has made numerous presentations at international, national and regional conferences related to both industry and educational best practices, especially outcomes assessment. She is also an active member of the New England chapter of Meeting Professionals International (MPI). Most recently, she served for six years as Editor of their quarterly chapter magazine Meetings.
