An associate professor at Johnson & Wales University, Matthew Samel teaches at the Center for Food and Beverage Management.
Samel is a member of the Rhode Island Hospitality and Tourism Association and the International Food Safety Council, and is a certified Food Safety Instructor with the State of Rhode Island and the Educational Foundation of the National Restaurant Association, a certified T.I.P.S. and C.A.R.E. trainer, a certified FMP Foodservice Management Professional by the National Restaurant Association, as well as a Certified Hospitality Educator.
