A JWU faculty member since 2001, Robert Wahl specializes in the technology sector of the hospitality industry. He has taught Front Office Operations, Service Management, Safety & Risk Management (a course he developed), Hotel Food & Beverage Controls, Casino Operations & Management and Hotel Property Operations.
Prior to coming to JWU, Wahl served as a technology consultant for the Rhode Island Convention Center and Providence’s Westin Hotel. He also worked with Harrah's Hotel and Casino and The Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, Hyatt Hotels, Radisson Hotels and Westin Hotels and is a former hotel controller. He is also a member of the Hospitality Finance & Technology Professionals.
A Certified Hospitality Educator (CHE), Wahl previously served as an advisor to first-year Hospitality students and persently serves as the advisor for the Rooms Division concentration. He was named the College’s Teacher of the Year for 2009-2010.
