Erin Wilkinson teaches Direct Marketing, Consumer Behavior and eCommerce at Johnson & Wales University. Her research interests include Internet strategy development for domestic and international consumer service markets.

Wilkinson was recently granted a Fulbright Scholarship to work with African women on sustainable entrepreneurship. She has consulted small businesses on marketing opportunities in Mexico, Portugal, Sweden, Tanzania and Zanzibar. She is also an entrepreneurship consultant for the Rhode Island Small Business Development Center (SBDC), assisting businesses with strategic market planning, identification of target markets, competitive analysis and long term branding.

Wilkinson is a member of the American Marketing Association, the New England Direct Marketing Association and the Academy of International Business. She has previous experience at TDJ Company, Inc., where she was involved in strategic planning and marketing communications development.

Wilkinson directs the NSO Competitive Events Institute at Johnson & Wales University. She also develops and supervises several experiential educational program that links coursework, leadership training and internship opportunities for students, and is an advisor for the RI State Chapters of DEX, PBL and SkillsUSA, coordinating a multi-disciplinary experiential education program where JWU students compete in case study competitions and have won numerous awards.

Wilkinson has received many teaching and leadership awards, including the DEX RI State Advisor of the Year Award.
