Johnson & Wales University’s Honors Program provides academically advanced students with an Honors-caliber education, building a community of scholars and enriching the university's traditional curriculum. Take Enhanced Courses Our Honors courses designed to engage you at a high level and foster independent thinking. You’ll have frequent opportunities for producing original scholarship and innovative projects. Direct Your Honors Experience Design your own courses by contracting for H-Option work work with a faculty member in many university classes. Senior Thesis/Capstone Project Stand out to potential employers and graduate schools with a thesis or project. Develop research and leadership skills and a portfolio of original work that proves your initiative and aptitude for success. Boost Your Transcript Complete all course requirements and you’ll receive the Honors Scholar designation on your transcripts and diplomas.
Am I Eligible? Students are selected by Admissions to join the Honors program upon entrance to the university. To be eligible, you must have:
Are you a transfer student? You can enter the Honors program if you provide documentation of Honors Program enrollment at your former institution, provided your GPA is 3.40 or higher at the time of your acceptance at JWU.

The Honors Program is affiliated with the National Collegiate Honors Council (NCHC), the nation's premier organization of undergraduate Honors programs, and is also a member of the Northeast NCHC, a regional organization of over 200 colleges and universities from Maine to Maryland.
