You can’t miss the spectacular glass-and-stone tower at the Charlotte Campus’ Trade Street entrance, or the giant, street-level windows in our Academic Center as you peek in on the chocolate and sugar-pulling labs. Our newest campus in this laid-back-and-all-business New South city breathes life into the heart of downtown Charlotte.
More than 2,500 students from across the US and 20 countries are enrolled in the College of Business, the College of Culinary Arts and The Hospitality College.
The most “buttoned up” of all JWU campuses, the Queen City maintains a distinctive small-town feel with big city entertainment, professional sports and lively arts scene just beyond its borders.
As the nation’s second-largest financial hub, it’s also home to multiple Fortune 500 companies, including Bank of America, Wells Fargo and Lowe’s — creating a business-friendly environment with a wealth of internship and career opportunities.
Socialize in the campus Cyber Lounge or travel off-campus on the city’s free trolley service which leaves campus every 10 minutes. Beyond classes, more than two dozen student organizations offer recreation or professional development. Campus events include Spring Week and Winter Week, cookouts, movies, concerts, trips and an annual carnival with a Family Iron Chef competition.
Our fully-equipped, mostly suite-style residence halls overlook Bank of America Stadium and the downtown skyline and are located near our own Academic Center and uptown Charlotte. Our Student Center houses our varsity and fitness programs, as well as Student Activities and student-run clubs and organizations.
Information for visitors and members of the university community concerning the accessibility of university residence halls, academic buildings or other facilities for individuals with disabilities and information concerning services available to accommodate special needs (i.e. sign language interpreter, etc.) is available through the Director of the Center for Academic Support at 980-598-1510.
