Service Learning

The North Miami Campus promotes and encourages faculty to provide meaningful service learning opportunities that foster a spirit volunteerism. A number of our faculty has been recognized for their active involvement in improving their communities through community service activities. Many courses include a learning component that promotes social responsibility and encourage compassion for others.

Our goal is to introduce you to your local community in a way that demonstrates shared leadership, collaboration and reciprocity. These are key practices that allow the development of  a deeper understanding of the institution that you have selected to jump-start your career path at JWU.

Fostering these values is not only a part of who we are as a university, but is critical to our vision of community leadership. You are encouraged to view volunteer opportunities as a time to embrace the idea that true compassion begins from within and should be demonstrated in real-world practice.
