The Criminal Justice bachelor of science degree gives you a number of options upon graduation. In fact some employers, especially federal government law enforcement agencies, require a baccalaureate degree as an entry level requirement.
As a criminal justice student at JWU, you will have the opportunity to experience first-hand methods and techniques used in criminal investigation. JWU's Crime Scene Institute (CSI) is located on campus and includes an actual crime scene laboratory, lecture and mock courtroom and crime scene area. You will learn and experience what is required when investigating, gathering and analyzing evidence from an actual crime scene. Students learn and review specific techniques, such as crime scene response, evidence collection, and crime scene photography.
North Miami’s CSI allows students to experience the detail in gathering evidence, the forensics in proving cases, and other intricacies of an investigation that is the backbone of solid detective work.
National Security concentration This focus gives you the opportunity to specialize in this growing sector of the criminal justice and law enforcement industries. Students take classes such as cyber-crimes and terrorism as part of this unique concentration.
