Service Opportunities Serve as ushers for Children's Theatre of Charlotte Productions and Special Events at ImaginOn: The Joe & Joan Martin Center.

Available community service days and times Shows are on Monday-Sunday mornings, afternoons and evenings. Please note that schedules vary with each production and volunteers will spend 2-4 hours per event; due to the duration of some events, four visits (including orientation) will fulfill requirement if 10 hours are met.

Special Requirements Prior to attending orientation: all students selecting this site must download and complete the volunteer application. Applications must be mailed or faxed immediately to address or fax number on application. Go to and look under "Volunteer Information". BE SURE to bring your Driver's License to the orientation with you!!! Dress: Volunteers are required to wear white collared shirt/blouse and black/dark blue slacks or skirt.

Directions Parking for School Performances-Volunteers for school performances may park in the ImaginOn parking garage, entrance located on 6th St. Parking vouchers will be provided. Parking for Public Performances-ImaginOn has limited parking available in the deck below the building, and the first 90 minutes are free for ImaginOn guests with a validated parking ticket. After 90 minutes, the first 1/2 hour is $2.00 and each additional 1/2 hour is $1.00. Seventh Street Station has new rates: The first 2 hours are free with a validated parking ticket. Tickets can be validated at the desk just inside the entrance to ImaginOn. Beyond 2 hours, the charge is $3.00 plus an additional $1.00 every 20 minutes thereafter. Seventh Street Station is typically free on Saturdays and Sundays during the day unless there is a special event in the area. Be sure to identify yourself as an ImaginOn patron.
