1-Year Programs

Get Credit for Work Experience


In our Advanced Standing program, use your work experience to fast track your associate degree — earn your AS in just 12 months at JWU. Over the summer, complete accelerated course work. Then, during September-May, take courses and get work experience at our facilities or an off-campus site, and build the skills to stand out in the workforce.

1-YEAR PROGRAM
Runs June-May.

REQUIREMENTS
You must have:

  • Worked in food service for 3+ years
  • Completed extensive food service courses

SAVE $
Pay only 1/3 the current tuition for your summer term.

Garnish Your Degree


Ready for a career change? Want to enter the food service field? In our Garnish Your Degree program, use your bachelor’s degree to earn your culinary or baking & pastry arts associate degree in just 12 months at JWU! Learn basics, principles and techniques — you can even complete an internship.

REQUIREMENTS
You must have a bachelor’s degree to apply to this program.
