Originally a house of Christian worship, Whatley Chapel transcends time and remains a meaningful venue for activities in the twenty-first century. Its attributes:

- acoustics
- carillon
- amphitheatre
- setting

insure its demand as an excellent space for:

- concerts
- weddings
- graduations and
other ceremonies

Whatley Chapel was the first separate chapel building for Colorado Women's College (CWC). Prior to its construction, both services and assemblies were held in Treat Hall. Today it serves as the convocation center for Johnson & Wales University, welcoming each new class of incoming freshmen.
