Each year a new class joins our family and creates a unique experience and legacy of their own. Whether it’s student organizations, athletics, or a distinguished academic career—Johnson & Wales University has something for everyone and the resources to support you.
We look forward to having you become an active member of the university community. Going to college will bring many changes to your life, and the Student Affairs Office has designed a Summer Orientation program to assist you in making a smooth transition into your new environment.
Attendance
at a Summer Orientation program is strongly encouraged for all new students.
We have planned several summer sessions from which to choose. The number
of students at each Summer Orientation program is limited, which will allow
you to meet in small groups and have your questions answered while you connect
with other new students. To reserve your place for a Summer Orientation program,
please register either by completing and returning the form in the Summer
Orientation booklet or by visiting more of the orientation webpages located
throughout this site.
We ask that you please encourage your parent(s), guardian(s), or other family member(s) to attend the Summer Orientation program with you. Special sessions for adult family members will be provided so that they will have the chance to learn about the exciting opportunities available to you during your time at our university.
While attending your Summer Orientation program, you will meet with many university representatives, learn about campus resources, network with current student leaders, and make new friends. It will be a busy two days, but you will walk away with a clear picture of university life and all of the information you will need to successfully survive and thrive as you begin your academic career in the fall.
