Safety & Security

Campus Safety & Security promotes the safety and well being of students, faculty, staff and property, provides campus patrols 24/7, 365 days a year and balances security with freedom of movement and individual rights with community needs.

Emergencies should be reported first to the Denver Police at 8-911, then to Campus Safety, 303-256-9500.

 In Case of Emergency (ICE)
In an emergency, time is critical. In Case of Emergency (ICE) ensures that emergency service providers and public safety personnel have access to essential information if you are incapacitated.

 Missing Resident Students
If you live in a JWU residence hall, you can register your confidential contact for a missing student report. Campus Safety & Security will notify this person, along with your emergency contacts, if you are missing. JWU personnel will not tell anyone, including your parents, friends or family, who your confidential contact is.

 Safety & Security Report
The 2014 Annual Security Report and Annual Fire Safety Report (697K PDF) of crimes that occur on or near campus, or on other property used or controlled by the university is published by Campus Safety & Security in compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (20 U.S.C. Section 1092(f)). The annual fire safety report is published as part of this report, and includes fire safety practices, standards and statistics.

 Sex Offender Registry
JWU makes the Colorado Bureau of Investigation's Sex Offender Registry available to students per the Clery Act.
