Academics
JWU offers a wide range of bachelors, master’s, associate, doctoral and continuing education programs. Our pioneering approach to academics combines classroom education with industry-specific skills, and our courses are designed with industry input, so you’ll graduate with the knowledge employers are seeking.
We provide you with:
- Hands-on learning in small classroom settings
- Training on industry-specific software
- Leadership development and community service opportunities
- A faculty with significant industry experience
- The opportunity to take classes in your major in your first term
- Opportunities to study overseas
One-third of your coursework will consist of arts and sciences classes, so you'll develop the critical thinking, analytical and communications skills necessary for long-term career progression.
Working with your faculty advisor and using our career tools website, you’ll identify your niche and develop a plan to achieve your career goals. Through a career capstone class and work experience related to your major you’ll build your resume — and develop a portfolio that will set you apart from the rest. On-campus career conferences, held twice a year, help you connect with leading companies for externships and full-time employment.
With this road map in hand, you’ll graduate with the industry-relevant experience necessary for success in your chosen field.
