The undergraduate teacher education programs at the Denver Campus of Johnson & Wales prepares future professionals to teach in the area of career and technical education in high schools. Comprehensive academic programming meets the state of Colorado's strict teacher preparation standards. The programs were carefully designed by drawing on the expertise and feedback of actual high school principals, department directors and teachers from several states across the United States.

classStudents begin to apply teaching principles learned through course work by working in partnership schools starting in their freshman year and continuing through graduation, gaining more than 800 hours of teaching experience in the process.

I was able to work with my mentor teacher in a local high school by helping to advise the FBLA chapter which gave me a better understanding of how to be an effective leader of the organization. > Gonzalo Zapata, Business/Marketing Education '07
