statement of purpose The Hospitality College, through a philosophy
of experiential learning, seeks to provide students with theoretical and
practical knowledge which enables graduates to be successful in their
chosen careers and to contribute significantly to society.
goals
The graduates of The Hospitality College should be able to:
1. Successfully demonstrate the application of skills and knowledge in
an industry environment.
2. Apply skills used in the operation of hotels, restaurants, clubs, recreation
or travel/tourism facilities.
3. Use critical thinking and decision making skills as they apply to the
hospitality field.
4. Demonstrate an understanding of the organization and management of
hospitality related service industries.
5. Analyze internal and external factors which influence the hospitality
industry.
hospitality college handbook The Hospitality College Student Handbook
is a supplement to the J&W Student Handbook and incorporated into
it by reference. The Hospitality College Student Handbook has been prepared
by the faculty of The Hospitality College to acquaint students with policies
unique to the college and to reinforce other University policies, rules,
and regulations. Each student will receive a handbook during their orientation.
