The Center for International Travel/Tourism (CITT)

Tourism has made the world a playground. A career in any aspect of this multibillion dollar industry is a ticket to excitement and adventure. Travel & tourism graduates could find themselves involved with tasks such as guided tours, personalized/corporate travel arrangements; cruise and airline travel, or fill the many needs of destination management organizations.

According to students, the best part of the program is the travel practicum experience where the students work in several travel-related businesses. Another major component to the curriculum is the opportunity to plan and experience an excursion to an exotic destination, lead tours and coordinate arrangements for the group on our Familiarization (FAM) Tours. FAM tours have included visits to: Italy, Hawaii, Singapore, Malaysia, Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Greece, Turkey, Scandinavia, Western Europe, Central Europe, Australia, Russia, the Caribbean, and the Canadian Rockies.
