One thousand international students representing ninety different countries currently attend Johnson & Wales at campuses in Providence, Charlotte, North Miami, and Denver. The mission of the International Student Services Office is to provide a full array of essential services that address the personal and educational needs of international students and exchange visitors. We play a vital role throughout your stay in the United States — from the moment you arrive at the University to the day you graduate and beyond!

In coordination with counterparts on all campuses, international student services in Providence serves as the liaison with federal agencies concerned with immigration rules and regulations. We help you understand your rights and responsibilities in the United States, maintain your lawful visa status in this country, and access all the benefits permitted by your student visa. We serve as a resource for matters related to immigration, housing, employment, tax regulations, campus policies, and cultural adaptation. In addition, if we are not able to help you resolve a problem or issue, we can recommend services in other offices on campus or in the community that may provide solutions.

We are concerned with your well-being and provide support services to help you fully adjust to living in the US and becoming a successful student. Our offices organize cultural outings, trips and programs that will both complement your classroom experience and enrich your time in the United States. We look forward to knowing you and working together with you.
