Denver Campus Announces Vinnie Wincelowicz, Ph.D. DENVER – May 16, 2007 – The Denver Campus of Johnson & Wales University is pleased to announce that Dr. Vincent Wincelowicz has been appointed department chair of the College of Business effective June 1, 2007. Dr. Wincelowicz has a Ph.D. in Public Administration from the University of Southern California with concentrations in leadership and management and organizational development, an M.A. from the City University of New York and a B.A. from Richmond College. He has been a leader on campus since joining the University as a full-time faculty member in 2003. He is a widely published author in multiple human resource and law enforcement disciplines and is the author of numerous articles on managing marginal workers, ethics and training. Wincelowicz has been a New York State probation officer, New York State parole officer, and chief of Undercover and Sensitive Operations for the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He has also served as a consultant to corporations and public agencies throughout the United States. He has been the chairperson for the Denver Mile-High Chapter – American Society for Industrial Security for the past three years, and is currently the treasurer for that organization. He also was instrumental in the creation of the Foundation for the Prevention of School Violence. During his time as a full-time faculty member, Dr. Wincelowicz has inspired confidence and commanded the utmost respect from his colleagues, his students and the campus community. Recently, he received the Denver Campus President’s award, the highest award given at the campus to a faculty or staff member for outstanding service to students and staff.
