The Hospitality College at the North Miami Campus
Launches Free Program to Benefit Hotels and Restaurants

NORTH MIAMI, Fla. – Nov. 8, 2007 – The Hospitality College at Johnson & Wales University’s North Miami Campus is launching a new program that’s designed to help South Florida hotels and restaurants raise the level of service they deliver.

Through the In Touch program, Johnson & Wales University will offer its hospitality experts to local businesses, free of charge, to brainstorm and consult on the most important industry topics. The university is already introducing the program to neighborhood establishments, such as restaurant chains and national hotel brands that can benefit from the counsel of industry experts.

Experts will counsel South Florida companies on topics ranging from health codes, customer service improvement, human resource issues, menu management and costing and controls. All these programs, and more, will be facilitated by a Johnson & Wales University professor.

"With the In Touch program, we are hoping to revolutionize the hospitality landscape in South Florida," said Samer Hassan, associate professor and lead adviser for the In Touch program. "At Johnson & Wales, it is not only our responsibility to prepare our students who will be entering the field, but equally important for us to partner with neighboring companies that will employ our students, and also serve South Florida’s residents and guests."
