Johnson & Wales University’s College of Culinary Arts offers its popular Chef's Choice classes for anyone interested in expanding their culinary skills. There's a kids menu of classes, too. Classes are designed for specific age ranges including 8-12 year-olds and teens ages 13-16 — and even classes that Mom or Dad could take along with their child. This winter and spring an expanded menu of selections will be offered. A blend of old favorites and new creations, prepared to impart the secrets to becoming an expert in the kitchen are also on the line-up. Whether you’re a beginner or an enthusiast, have an appetite for the very basics or a yen for the exotic, you’ll find offerings to suit your taste. Interactive one-day classes are designed for people on the go — all combine hands-on experience with demonstrations. There are different requirement levels depending on your experience. Some of the main courses and desserts offered include: It's Greek to Me, Healthy Temptations, The Brunch Bunch, Romantic Valentine's Dinner for Two, Vegetarian Passport, Mother's Day Buffet, New England Clam Bake and Happy Hearts Club. Most classes are $80 per person, Valentine's Dinner for Two and Cooking with Mom or Dad is $150 a couple, the beverage class is $60 per person.
