Garzilli’s Michelangelo to Be Previewed at Providence Campus PROVIDENCE, R.I. — March 13, 2007 — A sneak preview of "Michelangelo" will be showcased during a musical lecture by Rhode Island composer Enrico Garzilli’s. "Michelangelo: The Story and the Music" will be presented at the Pepsi Forum on the campus of Johnson & Wales University on Mon., March 19th at 9:30 a.m. Garzilli will be accompanied by tenor Brad Logan and soprano Loriana DeCreszenzo of Opera Providence. "Michelangelo," an original production, is a coming-of-age story that focuses on the young artist and the obstacles he encounters as he tries to fulfill his artistic vision. "It is a story that anyone who has ever struggled while pursuing their vocation or avocation can identify with," Garzilli says. "The story follows the life of the great Renaissance artist from his youth to his magnificent triumph; the painting of the Sistine Ceiling."
