scripture study/faith discussion Students wishing to gather to study the scriptures or to meet with other students to learn about the Catholic faith and discuss living the gospel life may sign up at the Catholic Campus Ministry office. Date and time to be determined. There is also an opportunity to briefly delve into these issues during Newman Club meetings.
r.c.i.a. Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults. Perhaps you were baptized Catholic but haven't attended the Church in a while, or, maybe you are a non-Catholic and are interested in learning more about the Catholic Church. R.C.I.A. meets Sundays before mass. There is an opportunity to be received into the Church and to receive the sacraments such as reconciliation, first Eucharist and confirmation.
special events During the year the Catholic Campus Ministry office sponsors several guest speakers and events. Past programs have included 'Occult Awareness,' Life in the Spirit Seminar, and a Healing Mass.
student leadership/peer ministry Students who are living the Christian life and wish to reach out to others may wish to take part in leadership training and help the office of Catholic Campus Ministry reach students on campus. Opportunities are also available to serve our worshipping community as reader, extraordinary minister of the Eucharist, altar server, sacristan, or in music ministry, and hospitality.
newman club An organization in the Catholic/Christian tradition which offers members of the college community an opportunity to explore and cultivate their relationship with God and the Christian community through mutual sharing, prayer and Christian brotherhood/sisterhood. Meetings follow Sundays Mass. Email Sandra Gaumont for more information.
retreats Students have an opportunity to participate in several retreats during the year. A retreat is a time to "come away and spend time with God".

spiritual direction Those students wishing to deepen their relationship with God and pursue a more active prayer/spiritual life are invited to contact the office at 401-598-1830 and discuss meeting on a regular basis for personal spiritual direction.
service opportunities Several times a year the Office of Campus Ministry takes part in service projects such as making homeless kits, Christmas cards for the elderly, etc. Opportunities also exist for students to help in local soup kitchens etc.
lending library We also have a great lending library of Catholic resource materials. Perhaps you've been away from the Church for a while and would like to be part of the family again or maybe you have some questions about what the Catholic Church's teaching on various issues is. Even if you just want to discuss a problem or don't know where to turn, we are here to help.
