community involvement Residential Life has designed a program to help on-campus students give back to the community. The Community Involvement Project (CIP) began in September 2001. The goal of CIP is very simple. Give back to our community, the city of Providence, and the people that need the most around our college home. Students can choose a specific site and work with an organization to help the lives of others. Past projects have included the Breast Cancer Walk, Ronald McDonald House, Amos House, and numerous other organizations. This project would not be possible without the assistance of the resident directors, resident assistants, and most importantly, the hardworking students that reside on campus. |

For the 2005-2006 school year, Residential Life has set a goal of 3000 hours. CIP is separate from the community service learning (CSL) requirement to graduate. See CSL for more information and requirements. If you are an organization in need of some assistance, please contact Ira Hill, complex coordinator, at 401-598-1141. Volunteer time is based on availability of students and staff members. If we can not help you today, tomorrow is another day.” "Service is what life is all about" Marion Elderman |
