winter During the winter break, all halls are closed with the exception of Harborside Village. The halls close the day after the last day of classes at noon. No exceptions are made in order to allow our staff time to enjoy the break as well. If you are planning on staying in Providence over this break, you must find and make off-campus arrangements, on your own. For the 2006-2007 academic year, all halls will be closing December 22, 2006 at 12pm (noon) and will reopen January 5, 2007 at 12pm (noon).

During holiday breaks, all halls are closed and locked down with the exception of Harborside Village. Student will not be permitted access to the buildings during holiday break.

Prior to vacating, you are asked to make sure your windows and doors are locked and that all electrical appliances are unplugged-TV, radio/alarm clock, stereo, computer, blow dryer, answering machine, etc. Please see the RD for a complete breakdown of the close down procedure.

fall/spring During Thanksgiving and spring breaks, all halls remain open and students are allowed to stay in their room. All rules and regulations apply during these breaks.

summer During the summer, one hall remains open and fully staffed for summer students and student employees. You must be enrolled in classes, or a student employee, to remain on-campus during the summer. All rules and regulations also apply during summer session. Once your session ends you must vacate the building within 24 hours. If you are interested in summer housing, please look for information posted in April and May, or contact Residential Life during the third term.
