All University housing, with exception of the White Apartments, are provided
with 24-hour monitored access. Access to each hall is limited to its residents.
The front desk is staffed by Front Desk Managers (FDM) from 8 am-4 pm,
and by Resident Assistants from 4 pm-midnight. At midnight, Professional
Security Services (PSS) officers or Johnson & Wales Safety and Security
officers staff the desk. All front desk staff assist residents with questions
and concerns, as well as offer safety for the residence hall.
Residents are required to carry their J&W student ID with a valid hall sticker at all times. Students must present their J&W ID which must display the sticker of their residence hall, in order to gain access. Students who visit another residence hall are considered guests and must register with the Front Desk.
It is also important to note that all guest are required to abide by hall policies and procedures.
