Crisis Assistance The Women's Center offers confidential support and advocacy for female students in crisis. If a student has been harassed, assaulted, and/or the victim of a hate crime, the Women's Center can help.

Resources & Referrals We offer resource files, brochures, books and videos for student use. The Women's Center also has a referral database & women's health guide for Providence & Rhode Island.

Health Education We believe wellness is a prerequisite for academic success. Therefore, the Center offers special workshops and events that focus on women's health issues, particularly on safer-sex, drug & alcohol use and birth control. Discussion groups and support groups also meet at the Women's Center. See our calendar for details.

Programs & Special Events Among its many goals, the Center seeks to expose students to new ideas and possibilities for women in their private and professional lives. Therefore, in addition to health education, the Center offers programs & special events that explore and celebrate women's achievements.

Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual & Transgendered Students Students struggling with sexuality/coming out issues are encouraged to visit the Center for support. We offer support and discussion groups for lesbian, bisexual, transgendered and questioning women. Visit our calendar for day and time.

Male Students Although the Center was founded with the intention to support women, men are welcome to use the Center and account for approximately 10% of our visitors.
