Dining

A variety of dining options are available right here on campus, whether you’re looking for an iced coffee or a hot meal. For the set price of $6.75, enjoy a freshly prepared meal at any one of our dining facilities.

JWU Dining on Campus PVD 230x160Located in Snowden Hall and convenient to Gaebe Commons and other Downcity locations, Snowden Dining Center and Weybosset Café provide students with a wide variety of menu options on a daily basis. At the other end of the Commons and on the first floor of the Yena Center next to the library, We Proudly Serve by Starbucks serves coffee and pastries.

Market Place, in the lower level of the John Hazen White Center offers a wide variety of food choices, with a special focus on local and sustainable foods. Across the street, City Burger and Starbucks provide hot meals and drinks in a comfortable café environment. Both accept cash and credit cards and are a short walk from class.

At the Harborside Campus, Red Sauce serves up pizzas, specialty pastas, sandwiches, and home-made soups. Starbucks serves breakfast and has a spacious lounge and free wi-fi, so you can linger with coffee, while Liberty Market caters to the student on the go with sandwiches, snacks and drinks.

Just a short walk south of the Harborside campus is the Harborview dining center, where students enjoy a wide variety of menu options.

Campus Dining oversees all Providence Campus dining centers and provides the following services:

Meal Plans
Resident students are required to subscribe to our Room & Board plan. Commuter students and guests may purchase meal tickets at the desk of each dining hall. Read more about dining plan options.

Note: Residents of Centennial House, Harborside Village, Renaissance, The Cove and Washington Apartments do not participate in the resident meal plan.

ID Cards
You must carry your student identification (ID) card at all times. Resident and commuter ID cards, as well as those of faculty and staff, are made in the our office. Returning students may re-validate their ID by picking up a new sticker at our office or through Student Activities.

Replacement IDs cost $15 and can be obtained at Student ID Services at the Student Services Center (Downcity) and Student Academic & Financial Services (Harborside).

Name Tags
Name tags are required for culinary students, as well as for those with internships in Culinary or Hotel Management. New name tags can be ordered online. For more information email us.  Replacement name tags are $5.

Food Committee
We welcome student comments and suggestions. If you’d like to become more actively involved, join us for our monthly meetings. Contact Elizabeth Han, 401-598-4383, for more information.

Student Care Packages
Did you know that we offer gift baskets and care packages for any occasion? Show your favorite student you care with a basket full of snacks and college essentials.

Catering Services
