Be sure to plan accordingly! Certain courses have pre/co-requisite requirements & restrictions, and may not be offered each term. Setting aside the appropriate time to plan your registration will help you save time & be successful!

Note: Student Academic Services will register classes for new freshman and transfer day students for their first term of enrollment. Also, Student Academic Services will register classes for ACCESS, ESL, and Doctoral students until their program requirements are satisfied.

Step 1: when can I register?
a) Determine your Time Ticket day (always, you are strongly advised to reserve/register classes by the course cancellation date)

Step 2: what courses should I register?
a) Review your Degree Progress, Course Projections, your Academic Planner; review each course's pre/corequisite requirements, restrictions, & class space (Enter Secure Area > Registration > Look Up Classes To Add; follow on-screen instructions)

Corequisite = a course that you must register together with another course(s); example, baking/culinary lab courses have corequisite requirements
Restrictions = limitations set on a course reserving it for a targeted group of students (i.e. specific major, class, college)

b) Providence Campus: if registering FSM2060, FSM4060, FSM4061, HOSP2099, FSM2099, TRVL2099, or RTL2063 and RTL2095, you must complete an Internship/Practicum & Foodservice Laboratory Course Request one year in advance (requests are honored by first preference for graduating students and then assigned according to space and availability)

c) If interested in Co-op/Externship or Study Abroad, apply early & plan ahead 6 months in advance; these programs have strict application deadlines

a) To register, Enter Secure Area of uconnect > Registration > Look Up Classes To Add (follow on-screen instructions)

b) To make changes to your schedule, review the university's add/drop guidelines

Step 4: How do I view/print my schedule? What’s next after I register & I’m done with my schedule?
