residency
The residency requirement is the number of courses and credits students must take
at Johnson & Wales University in order to be eligible to receive a degree and
diploma, whether the student is transferring in credits or pursuing an additional
degree. Standardized testing credits are not considered when determining residency
requirements.

associate / minimum of 31.5 credits, half of which must be within the major field
bachelor's / minimum of 45 credits, half of which must be in the major field
When determining residency, associate degree track courses are considered as well.
master's / minimum of 45 credits
The final 4.5 quarter credit hours must be earned as an enrolled student.
doctorate / complete 2 consecutive twelve-credit academic semesters.
