IMPORTANT REMINDERS & HINTS FOR SUCCESS

Confirm or write your student ID, name, and campus on all documentation submitted to Student Financial Services.
• If received, report any outside awards or scholarships to Student Financial Services.
• The Student Financial Services office may request additional documentation. Your financial aid package cannot be finalized until all requested documentation has been received. Respond quickly!
Submit in writing to Student Financial Services details of any special or changed circumstances in your family situation.
Before submitting the FAFSA, make sure that it is complete and accurate and includes all necessary signatures.
• If your parents are divorced or separated, answer the questions about the parent you lived with more during the past 12 months. If you did not live with one parent more than the other, give answers about the parent who provided more financial support during the last 12 months, or during the most recent year that you received support from a parent. If this parent is remarried as of today, answer the questions on the rest of the form about that parent and the person your parent married (your stepparent).
• Leave no question unanswered; fill in questions that do not apply with a zero.
Establish a financial aid file for your own records. Keep copies of all information, including the FAFSA.
