VERIFICATION
Approximately 1/3 of all financial aid applicants are selected randomly for verification by The U.S. Department of Education or J&W to confirm the accuracy of submitted information that was reported on the FAFSA. Being selected for this verification process does not necessarily mean that you have made a mistake or provided incorrect information. Selected applicants are required to supply additional information.
If selected for verification, your financial aid award is only tentative and upon verification it may be reduced or revoked. You must submit all required documentation to your J&W Student Financial Services office, where the verification process must be completed before your financial aid award can be finalized.
The verification process requires but is not limited to signed copies of parent and student federal tax returns as well as a dependent/independent worksheet along with untaxed income verification.
