Electronics Engineering
Bachelor of Science degree

The Electronics Engineering bachelor degree program provides a broad-based foundation in current and projected growth areas of electronic engineering and technology. It also provides concentrations in three arenas that are directly consistent with the technology dynamics of this and the coming decades: telecommunications & network engineering, computer/digital systems engineering.

Graduates of the Electronics Engineering bachelor degree program are qualified to work in the electronics and associated industries as Test Engineers, Design Engineers, Quality Assurance Engineers, Technical Sales and Advanced Technical Support.

An important component of the educational experience of the Business/Information Systems Analysis major is the general studies courses taught out of the John Hazen White School of Arts and Sciences. Graduates are expected to show competencies in higher order thinking, communications, ethics, global diversity, responsible citizenship, leadership and artistic responsibility. The following literacies should also be demonstrated: socio-cultural, quantitative, scientific and informational.

Outcomes for the Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering are:

  • Ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, engineering sciences, and contemporary developments in the field to carry out analysis and design to desired specifications.
  • Ability to apply understanding of engineering processes to identify and analyze problems, formulate solutions, design simulations and experiments, and interpret data.
  • Ability to use the techniques, skills, and modern tools necessary for engineering practice.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
