Login & Security In order to log into the secure area of uconnect,
you need: Forget your PIN? • Your PIN is case-sensitive Protect your uconnect account from unauthorized use! Important recommendations: Never reveal or display your PIN (i.e. your "password") Any user who has your PIN or who can reset it will be able to log into your uconnect account, access your personal information and make unauthorized changes. And never request any other person's PIN. Avoid unnecessary display of your ID (i.e. your "J number") Prevent unauthorized use by not allowing potential prohibited users from seeing and/or learning your ID. Safeguard your student ID card at all times. If you are in possession of another individual's ID, use the same caution. Take steps to ensure that your Security Question & Answer are not obvious and can be answered by you only For example, DO NOT enter "what is my first name" as your question. A person would be able to reset your PIN and gain access to your account based on such obvious questions. Employ reasonable judgment when sharing an ID There should be a defined and specific need for any request of an ID. Do not freely share your ID without a valid reason, using your personal discretion. Periodically update your PIN and/or Security Question & Answer When updating in uconnect, select Personal Information, and then Change PIN or Change Security Question. © 2003 Johnson & Wales University.
