Course Descriptions

Introduction to Clinical Practice This lecture- and laboratory-based course is designed as a transitional course to provide students with the skills necessary to effectively navigate their learning and clinical setting. The laboratory portion of this course will teach commonly utilized clinical procedures and skills which students will be performing while on rotations.

Masters Course The Masters Course runs the length of the clinical year. It includes lectures and discussions that prepare students for the Physician Assistant National Certification Examination, job searches and clinical practice. In the spring semester, this course culminates with a summative evaluation that ensures the student possesses the knowledge, interpersonal skills, patient care skills and professionalism required for entry into the profession.

Clinical Rotations All rotations are 5 weeks in length and 4.5 credit hours each.
