Bio

My background is in food and nutrition; I love food and the physiology of how it impacts our bodies and health. After earning my bachelor’s degree in dietetics from Ohio University (Athens, Ohio), I became a Registered Dietitian (RD), which aligns with my passion for food and optimal health.

I began my career at Duke Diet & Fitness Center in Durham, NC, specializing in adult weight management, and later returned to Ohio University to complete my master’s degree in food and nutrition.

Prior to my position at JWU, I was the lead dietitian for a pediatric obesity program at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, specializing in childhood feeding and behavior modification. I joined Johnson and Wales University to share my passion for nutrition with students who love food — and to have the ability to change the way America eats.
