Bio

I earned my BA in FSM  from JWU, my  MHA from UNLV.  I joined the JW faculty in 2003 at the Norfolk campus. My career highlights prior to JWU include, F&B Manager of a private Country Club, in Va., Service Director, for a fine dining Southern Bistro, in GA.  I spent 10 years at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla. I started my career in the college internship program, and worked my way to Restaurant Guest Services Manager. I worked various locations throughout my career at Disney, The Grand Floridian Resort, EPCOT’s Living Seas and The United Kingdom are some of the most memorable. My focus was and still is on Training & Development, Service Excellence and Hospitality Management. My areas of expertise as JWU include Special Event Management and Dining Service Management.

It is important to me to bring my experiences and those of industry leader into the classroom. I encourage and assist students to seek professional experiences that are relevant to their current career interests. I am also an active member of National Association for Catering Executives and Meeting Planners International.
